Inactivist

Wake up! Wake up!

It’s a brand new day

Sun shining on your face, time to play

How many ways can you hide today

Behind that bush?

Behind the monitor?

Or how about our favorite spot

Lets hide behind your silence

On racism, sexism, and every insecurity that hurts

It’s hard to speak out

Even harder to act out

So lets take the easy route

And exercise our right to remain silent

While the guilt of inactivity chokes you out

Maybe the next reincarnation will be a little braver

Or maybe there won’t be a next time

What if this is the only chance you have

And you squandered it all on fear
